Pea Soup 12/30/2015

Ingredients
  1. 1 lb. of green split peas
  2. 3 qts. of water
  3. 1 small ham shank or a slice of Cook's Sliced Ham
  4. 1 large onion, finely chopped
  5. 1/2 tsp. of garlic (optional)
  6. 1 1/2 cups of carrots
  7. 1 cup of celery (optional)



Procedure/Direction:

In a large pot, combine ingredients.

Simmer for 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally.

Shred ham off the bone and cook for another 2 hours.

Add water to desired consistency.
